The Legend of Korra recovers from it’s clip show fiasco with two fantastic, plot-relevant episodes. As Kuvira’s weapon comes closer to completion, Korra is finally able to put her trauma behind her with help from an unlikely source. Meanwhile, the Beifongs pull off a daring rescue with the help of Toph.
The Legend of Korra has hit midseason, which means there’s a lot of housekeeping to do before the final confrontation. “The Battle of Zaofu” swiftly ends the Zaofu conflict and paves the way for a more serious face-off between Kuvira’s army and Korra and her allies. “Reunion” is a bit less relevant, but does the important work of reuniting Korra with her loved ones. With almost everyone back together, Korra can start working on the problem of Kuvira in earnest.
The Legend of Korra returned with two new episodes this week. While they’re mostly episodic in nature, they continue to develop in a much smoother way than previous seasons.
The Legend of Korra’s third season has already gotten off to a fantastic start, so I was happy to see that the fourth and fifth episodes kept the momentum going.
